It reduced the Big Five record companies to the Big Four record companies. The joint venture between Sony Corporation and Bertelsmann to merge both companies' music divisions was set up in August 2004. BMG Interactive published the Grand Theft Auto video game series. In March 1998, BMG sold its video game publisher BMG Interactive to Take-Two Interactive, with Bertelsmann taking a 16 percent stake in Take-Two. ![]()
